Frank White Rabbit Logo Design
Designing the Frank White Rabbit Logo, who is an important DJ of the Venice’s mainland [Italy], there was the needing of expressing the idea of a music based on minimal variation, based on a strong rhythm.
So this helps in the choice of the font:
“DIN 30640 Std” in its variation “Neuzeit Grotesk Bold Condensed”.
Another idea was the to give rhythm to the lettering itself, to recall the “kick” of the bass usual is this kind of music, an therefore we already created the lettering.
FRANK · WHITE · RABBIT
Now a mark, that could be used on its own, was needed for this logo.
How to make a minimal mark-design for this logo?
It’s a rabbit logo!
Analyse the shapes, without focusing on the interpretation you give them.
Once recognised the shape of a rabbit’s head in the “R” upside down to design a rabbit logo, it’s all about proportion.
The Golden Ratio it’s only one of the many proportion used in the graphic design, yet it became famous for it’s sense of harmony and because in more than one situation seems to be the proportion that best fit our eye.
So once decided that the Golden Ratio‘d be the proportion, it’s easy to place the “eye” in the rabbit logo.
