OmniaScribes, hand drawn logo
In the hand drawn logo designed for Omnia Scribes the mark needed to express a passionate and professional way of writing contents, in an user friendly way.
Scripta Manent, hand drawn logos too…
Omnia Scribes is a copywriting company located in Bali, with an international client-range, and as they keep growing, they felt the needing to have a professionally designed corporate image, that could better fit the international market.
Hand drawn logo: light as a feather
Among all the drafts presented the final choice was for an hand drawn logo representing a pen-feather, which represent the classicism of the copy writing, and give as well the idea of something permanent in time: “Scripta Manent”.
That hand drawn logo looks familiar
The object represented itself, and the simple lines use to draw it are giving a strong feeling of familiarity to the viewers, really important thing to have a logo that stays remembered!
Free the logo
A personal challenge was to follow the request to design a hand drawn logo that was not based on specific proportions or a strict grid. This lead to use of a drawing sketched pencil on paper, with no guidance.
The mark itself [the feather-pen] has been hand drawn and later rebuild into vector format with Illustrator.
To give even more a “classical look” to the logotype, the chosen font is “Democratika” [now renamed Americratika] font inspired by the handwritten output obtained using that kind of pen.
What was the comment from OmniaScribes about the new logo?
We wanted to have a hand-made logo, something that could give the idea of “old school” work style.
Milo presented a many different drafts and discussed with us how to develop each sketch, helping us making a selection that lead to our final the choice.
Milo Baù is a professional logo designer, we recommended him to our partners!
